Okay, I forgot all about this one-shot issue of Uncanny X-Men pencilled by Whilce Portacio and inked by me. This issue is already out since two weeks ago. I hope you got it already.
Just thought of taking a picture viewed outside our window; overview of Makati skyscrapers with smog/fog after the rain. Gonna post a quick how-to video of how I did this…later.
Last Thursday morning before I left the house, my Windows Visa (Home Ed.) just updated its system, same as Firefox. I didn’t reboot the computer, just the browser. As I started to check my GMail, I thought my internet wasn’t responding. I tried reloading the webmail but it wasn’t working. So I tried checking the other webmail like Yahoo Mail and it wasn’t working too. I tried refreshing Yahoo Mail and it still wasn’t showing any page at all. I checked my Yahoo messenger and the G-Talk and they seemed okay and I was logged in. I kept wondering what was going on.
I tried opening my Internet Explorer and typed in Yahoo.com. Wow! I finally see a website. I tried GMail and it was working too. I suddenly thought the updates in Firefox seem to messed up the program, so I decided to uninstall it and reinstalling it again. The damn thing wasn’t working still. The version I installed was version 2.0, coz I knew there were add-ons that aren’t working for the newest version yet. I kept trying to type in any URL and they weren’t working like there was no internet connection at all. So I decided to upgrade to version 3.0. I started swearing when it still didn’t work!
I thought maybe it’s my connection. I disconnected my wonderful (sarcasm) dial-up connection and used the other wonderful (sarcasm again) dial-up. I opened the browser and tough sh!t, it still not working and only the oh-so-powerful IE is working!
I told Anne that what if I’ll try other browsers like Apple’s Safari. Wow! That’s a great idea. I downloaded and installed the browser. Oooh! It worked! It loaded the Apple’s website. So I quickly went to Yahoo to login; it loaded the entire index, but later on as I tried to click the Sign In page, it stopped working again. Holy sh!t…what’s going on?! I cursed.
I once again reloaded the damn browser but it kept telling me I wasn’t connected to the internet. I started to lose hope with this thing…so I have no choice but to use ALMIGHTY INTERNET EXPLODER. :banghead: I’m guessing the Windows’ updates is blocking all secondary browsers so I can only use this damn IE. I’m sure it’s not spyware or malware.
